Richard Cooper, CEO

Since joining Pro-Tech in 2010 as President, Richard Cooper has led the company’s transformation from a local New Jersey solar EPC firm to a nationally recognized, full-service provider. He has grown the company from six to more than thirty employees and expanded the company’s EPC capabilities to include a self-performing site civil division and project development from inception to financing and completion. To date, Pro-Tech has built more than 90 megawatts of solar generating capacity with projection for the next 12 months in excess of 50 megawatts. As a member of the executive board, he contributes and advises on the direction of the organization.

A lifelong entrepreneur, Mr. Cooper founded his first company at the age of 18. Mr. Cooper has more than 25 years of business experience in the financial, venture capital and energy sectors. He has held positions with privately and publicly held companies, ranging in size from start-up to multi-billion dollar international businesses, and has operated in various industries including financial services, wealth management, high-technology and energy services. Mr. Cooper has extensive experience in the energy services sector, leading the development and construction of significant energy savings improvement projects for industrial, commercial, healthcare and government clients while working with global, national and regional industry leaders Honeywell, Siemens and Tozour Energy Services. In addition, he has worked in rapid and emerging-growth environments, as well as cash-constrained and turnaround situations. At Pro-Tech, Mr. Cooper has overall responsibility for the company’s strategic direction and financial performance.

Mr. Cooper holds a business administration degree from Rutgers University and completed his CEM certification in 2009.

Paul Shust, Chief Financial Officer

Paul Shust is Pro-Tech’s Chief Financial Officer and oversees Pro-Tech’s global finance, accounting and structured finance operations. Mr. Shust has an extensive background in finance and operations, including experience in mergers and acquisitions and project finance and capital market transactions for both public and private companies.

Mr. Shust has more than five years of EPC experience in the solar industry and has managed all areas of construction, procurement, logistics and utility interconnection for Pro-Tech. Mr. Shust has built more than 70 megawatts of projects in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Maryland and New Jersey. He has worked with technology from most major module and inverter manufacturers giving him a wide range of experiences. Mr. Shust drives the product and technology approval process, he also maintains Pro-Tech’s strategic relationships with leading manufacturers of solar modules, inverters and racking systems. As a member of the executive board, he contributes and advises on the direction of the organization.

Mr. Shust holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Iona College. He is also a CFA charter holder and CPA.

Guy Winters, Chief Operating Officer

At Pro-Tech, Guy Winters has direct responsibility for all company operations, PV project development, financing and implementation. Mr. Winters is an experienced entrepreneur, investor and attorney. He began his legal practice at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy in New York and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius in Philadelphia. He then served as a partner and the general counsel of Novitas Capital, an early stage venture capital fund located in Wayne, Pa. At Novitas Capital, Mr. Winters helped grow the fund from $50 million in committed capital to more than $385 million in committed capital and managed more than one dozen multi-million dollar investments. After Novitas Capital, Mr. Winters joined Drinker, Biddle & Reath in Philadelphia as a partner and managed the firm’s Emerging Growth Practice Group. He is a licensed attorney in Pennsylvania and New York.

Mr. Winters received his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and his juris doctor degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law.

Michael Aladich, Senior Vice President, Operations

Since joining Pro-Tech in 2014 as Senior Vice President of Operations, Michael Aladich oversees all commercial and operating activities for the company. He leads Pro-Tech’s efforts to enhance internal procedures and policy, improving overall revenue and P&L management. He also ensures that Pro-Tech construction projects operate at top levels of safety, performance and environmental sustainability.

Mr. Aladich has nearly 30 years of experience managing construction and operations within the commercial, residential and renewable energy industries. Prior to joining Pro-Tech, he served as the director of program management for Sun Edison, overseeing daily operations for the United States DG market.

Mr. Aladich holds an economics degree from Princeton University.

Tony Pawlik, Vice President, Sales

Tony Pawlik joined Pro-Tech Energy Solutions in October 2014 as Vice President of Sales. He is responsible for all business and project development efforts. Prior to coming to Pro-Tech, Mr. Pawlik served in various business development and utility scale sales director positions at Mercury Solar, SOLON Corporation and Real Goods Solar Energy. He is a past member of the Mercury Solar President’s Club, awarded for Sales Excellence.

Mr. Pawlik is a veteran of the technology industry, where he has held executive sales management positions at Texas Instruments, Samsung Semiconductor and Integrated Device Technology. He earned his master’s of business administration degree in management from Golden Gate University, and his bachelor’s of administration degree in business management from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.

Jeff Hill, Project Executive

Jeff Hill first joined Pro-Tech in February of 2012 as a project manager and was appointed project executive in December 2013. Mr. Hill has oversight for all project operations including, site assessment, design, installation, quality assurance, utility inspections, management of installation teams, project scheduling and safety. His installations have ranged from 333kW to 10MW.

Since 2012, Mr. Hill has effectively managed over 20MW of solar installations, as well as the installation of commercial generators, cooling towers and a variety of energy efficiency and HVAC projects. Mr. Hill’s unique background runs deep in both analytical roles and relationship management. As an entrepreneur, Mr. Hill built a performance automotive business using state-of-the-art design, fabrication and engineering methodologies— skills and talents he then transferred to the field of solar energy.

Mr. Hill holds industry certifications from the North American Board of Certified Energy Professional’s (NABCEP) in photovoltaic (PV) installation, as well as a Professional Energy Manager (PEM) designation. He attended Siena College in Loudenville, New York where he studied Computer Science.

Mike Kushner, Director of Construction

Mike Kushner is responsible for project management at Pro-Tech Energy Solutions. He leads the project management staff to ensure all initiatives are completed on time and on budget, while focusing on safety of all construction team members and quality of all installations. Mr. Kushner is involved in project strategy formulation during project development, as well as strategy implementation through completion.

Mr. Kushner has more than 10 years of experience in managing operations in the residential, commercial and renewable energy sectors. Before joining Pro-Tech Mr. Kushner held an east coast regional operations manager position with SunEdison, where he successfully managed the development, execution and installation of more than 30MW in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maryland and Georgia.

Mr. Kushner holds a Bachelor¹s in business administration from West Virginia University.
